Delta Air Lines Safety Management System
For this blog, I have decided to discuss Delta Air Lines' Safety Management System (SMS), which was established in 2017 and validated by the Federal Aviation Administration. As a Delta employee, I can see and explain the benefits of the safety culture that Delta Air Lines has. Delta Air Lines' headquarters is located in Atlanta, GA, which is considered a melting pot of different cultures and people. Delta operates hundreds of flights per day to hundreds of destinations they fly to which makes the airline accessible. With its accessibility, Delta has to ensure a strong safety culture to maintain public trust and its strong reputation of being one of the safest airlines operating. The implementation of SMS for Delta allows all employees to report any hazards they see and ensures that management can address the concerns of their employees.
